MIX Lounge: Natasha Bedingfield
I got the chance to meet British singer/songwriter Natasha Bedingfield and watch her private performance for selected MIX listeners on Friday. She was in town for her show with New Kids on the Block (she’s one of the opening acts). I actually rode up the elevator with her…
On my two minute voyage up to the lounge, I learned that she’s enjoyed her time opening for NKOTB. She asked me if I was going to wear any of my old fan clothes (giant pins, old concert t-shirts, etc.). I chuckled and said I don’t have that stuff anymore, and she replied that a lot of women at the shows have been wearing their old memorabilia!
She played an intimate acoustic set and also took some time to answer questions, sign autographs and take some photos with fans. I learned that she comes from a musical family (her other three siblings are musicians), she may be writing songs about her love for her new fiancé in an upcoming album, she likes that her single “Unwritten” has been a huge success as the theme song for the MTV reality show “The Hills”, and she also touched on Britain’s view of Barack Obama.
Here are a few photos I was able to take during her session in the MIX Lounge. Enjoy!
