montecito-fire2.jpg“Back to the Future” star, Christopher Lloyd was notified that his home was destroyed during the firestorm that swept through Montecito, Calif. Thursday and Friday.  Part of his estate was destroyed.  The actor, who is shooting a movie on location in Canada, was notified by phone.  Lloyd is due to return to California later this month to prepare for his stint as Ebenezer Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol” at the Kodak Theater.  As of Sunday, Lloyd was the only Montecito celebrity whose home has been hit by the blaze.  Other celebrities with properties at risk include Kevin Costner, Jeff Bridges and Ellen Degeneres…

Fires also threaten Snoop Dogg’s home in Diamond Bar, Calif. The Grammy Award-winning rapper owns a multimillion-dollar home in The Country states, an exclusive, gated hillside community. A reporter for a Los Angeles radio station caught up with some of Snoop’s people, who said they were on their way to retrieve possessions and memorabilia from his house. The “Triangle Complex” fire has already scorched 10,000 acres and spans four counties: Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside.

A video posted on the “Miley and Mandy Show” YouTube page early yesterday falsely claimed Miley Cyrus had been killed by a drunken driver. It was the work of a hacker.
 
An alleged PETA member dumped a bag of flour on Lindsay Lohan Friday night in Paris.  The woman shouted “Lindsay Lohan — fur hag!” during the attack.  Lohan was wearing a fur stole when the attack took place outside a nightclub.

Due to her work toward ending violence against women, Charlize Theron has been named a United Nations Messenger Of Peace.  The South African-born actress was awarded the title on Friday, joining the ranks of fellow actors George Clooney, Michael Douglas and musician Yo-Yo Ma.  Celebrities chosen as messengers of peace are asked to promote U.N. activities and ideals through public appearances and media contacts.
 
A documentary called “Britney: For the Record” will air Sunday night, November 30, on MTV. “I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn’t being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in,” she says. “This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I’ve been through and where I’m headed.”

Britney Spears is in talks with NBC about performing live at the Rockefeller Center tree lighting ceremony on December 3.

Paul McCartney says he believes it’s time to release a track the Beatles recorded back in 1967, that was experimental.  The 14 minute recording is called “Carnival of Light” and consists of electronic music, distorted guitar, organ sounds, gargling noises and someone shouting “Barcelona!” McCartney says he likes it because it’s just The Beatles being free. McCartney said he still had a master tape of the piece and “the time has come for it to get its moment.” McCartney would need permission from Ringo Starr and the widows of Lennon and George Harrison to release the track.

Cher has reportedly reconciled with her occasional boyfriend, 38 year old Tim Medvetz, after Cher’s health scare sent him rushing to her side. The singer, 62, had to cancel a number of shows at Caesar’s Palace last month because she has an allergy to something in the winds in Las Vegas. Cher has assured Tim she’ll give him plenty of room to do whatever he wants.and it’s gotten their relationship back on track.”
