Hugh Jackman has been named “People” Magazine’s 2008 Sexiest Man Alive. The film action hero and Broadway Tony award winner is also married and is a father of two. The “Australia” star, 40, stands 6ft. 2in, and is known for strong physique. According to “People”, he sings ballads at home, makes pancakes for son Oscar, 8, daughter Ava, 3, as well as his wife Deb. Other men featured in the issue include Blair Underwood, Daniel Craig and Zac Efron. …
Jennifer Garner has taken out a restraining order against some kook named Steven Burky who’s been following her around. In the filing she says, “Mr. Burky has been stalking and harassing me,” sending “packages and letters containing delusional and paranoid thoughts and following me around the country …”
Paris Hilton and Benji Madden have officially called it quits. Us Magazine reports: “Even though they are still in love, they felt it would be better to just be friends.” Benji was reportedly overprotective and controlling plus, it was said that he didn’t get along with any of her friends.
“Days of Our Lives” stars, Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn were both fired from the 43-year-old soap on Monday. The layoffs of the show’s two biggest stars was in response to budget cuts the show’s producers made earlier this month to keep the soap on the air for at least another 18 months. Hall has appeared on “Days”as Dr. Marlena Evans since 1976. Hogestyn has been on the show since 1984. She also made a slew of TV movies, even playing herself in a 1993 TV movie called “Never Say Never: The Deidre Hall Story,” based on her real-life struggle to have a child. Before becoming an actor, Hogestyn was a baseball prospect who signed with the Yankees organization in the mid-’80s as a third baseman. “Days” is the last remaining soap on NBC.
Joaquin Phoenix is shooting a documentary about himself. It will cover his recently announced retirement from acting and his transition into a career in music.
Wynona Ryder was briefly hospitalized in London after falling ill during a trans-Atlantic flight. She actually felt fine by the time the plane landed, but was taken to a hospital to get checked out.
