travoltaandjett.jpgThe late Jett Travolta’s body was cremated yesterday, according to Dr. Hubert Minnis, Minister of Health in the Bahamas. The remains were then flown to Florida. He was killed by a “seizure,” according to the death certificate issued yesterday.
 
Yesterday on The View Whoopi Goldberg told the press to quote, “back off” of John Travolta and wife Kelley Preston and to let them mourn their son Jett, who died last week of a seizure at the age of 16. …

People is reporting Jennifer Love Hewitt and actor Ross McCall (Crash) called off their engagement over the holidays.
 
Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend Samantha Ronson have split up, according to reports, but Lohan took to her MySpace page to say those reports are inaccurate.
 
Katie Holmes is said to have spent a small fortune since the month of July when she moved to New York to appear on Broadway in the Arthur Miller play All My Sons. The New York Post’s Page Six column estimates that, mainly due to her real estate purchases, she has spent more than $14 million since being in the city. Holmes has reportedly spent a reported $13,987 on child care and taking Suri out over the last six months.  According to the publication, she and Cruise have bought three new apartments in the building where he has owned his home since 1985. The magazine says a similar, three-bedroom home on the same street is on the market for $4.8 million,and calculates that the Cruises would have spent $14.4 million on their apartments as a result. Meanwhile the couple is reported to have spent an additional $7,000 on installing gym equipment in their home. The publication also claims that Holmes, 30, and Cruise, 46, have spent an estimated $7,315 on dining out at top restaurants and more than $17,000 on clothes for Holmes and Suri from shops like Hermes and Bonpoint.

First lady, Laura Bush, has sealed a deal worth millions with Scribner Publishing to produce a memoir that will encompass her recollections of her personal and historical moments, including her eight years in the White House. The memoir is expected to be released in 2010.

Rap star 50 Cent must be feeling the effects of the global economic downturn… he’s been forced to slash the price of his Connecticut mansion by $4 million. The rapper originally put the house, formerly owned by boxer Mike Tyson, on the market for $18.5 million, but the property is now listed at the reduced price of $14.5 million. 50 Cent bought the mansion in 2003 for $4.1 million. The struggling housing market is the latest worry for the rapper - his reality show 50 Cent: The Money and the Power was dropped by MTV last week, and he recently admitted he has lost “millions of dollars” in decreasing stock values.

Tom Cruise is quoted by Spanish magazine XL Semanal as saying Scientology teachings helped him overcome childhood dyslexia. The magazine also quotes him as saying he was functionally illiterate when he graduated from high school in 1980, but Scientology teachings have taught him to read perfectly.
 
Kate Hudson talks dating in the February issue of Elle. “First of all, I always had a boyfriend” she says. “This is the first time I’ve been single since I was 16!” She adds: “I’ve been on so many bad dates. I went on one where I just left because he was so boring. I felt really bad, and I didn’t want him to pay for dinner.” Hudson has dated Owen Wilson, Lance Armstrong and Dax Shepard since divorcing husband Chris Robinson in 2006.

The Big Bopper’s (J.P. Richardson) son plans to sell his father’s casket on eBay in the next few weeks. The steel casket was exhumed from its original resting place in 2007, because Richardson’s son wanted to move his father to a more visible location. The Big Bopper died along with Buddy Holly and Richie Valens in a plane crash in 1959.

Brit Brit here, just wanted to update you all on the size of my vagina. Its about 4 feet wide with razor sharp teeth.” The post has since been removed.
