Last year, Patrick Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest forms of cancer there is. Tonight, in his first interview since being diagnosed, Swayze talks to Barbara Walters about his illness and about his expectations. “Patrick Swayze: The Truth” airs tonight at 10 PM eastern standard time on ABC.
John Travolta and Kelly Preston will hold a private memorial service for their son Jett tomorrow in Ocala, Florida. He was cremated on Monday. …
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck welcomed their second child on Tuesday in Los Angeles. The healthy, baby girl will be a little sister for the couple’s three year old daughter, Violet. No other information was available at this writing.
Alyssa Milano is engaged to marry a Hollywood agent.
Ed McMahon and his wife Pamela are under investigation in a poodle attack. As the story goes, a process server arrived at their home to serve them, and when Pamela answered the door, she sicked a poodle on the guy. The L.A. County Dept. of Animal Control confirmed the process server did have a dog bite on his right knee. There has been no comment from the McMahon camp.
A source on the set of “The Ghost Whisperer” tells People that Jennifer Love Hewitt is “having a tough time” in the wake of her breakup with her fiancé. “She is usually very bubbly, but she is more quiet and seems sad,” the source reveals.
Mario Lopez, who returns this season as a plastic surgeon on FX’s “Nip/Tuck,” and next month starts another season of MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew,” is also at work on a children’s book series, “Mud Tacos,” with his sister Marissa, based on their San Diego childhood. He also says he doesn’t mind being called Slater, who he played on “Saved by the Bell,” because he’s flattered to be remembered so well for the role which led to him having a long career in show business.
Jessica Simpson is going to have a recipe featured in the 2008 Cowboys Family Cookbook, presented by the wives of the Dallas Cowboys. We’re not exactly sure what that means, since she and Cowboys quarterback beau, Tony Romo, aren’t even engaged. Organizers say they use the term “wives” loosely to include the women in the lives of their team members. Simpson and Romo contributed recipes for a “banana breakfast fruit smoothie” and “no-fat broccoli and cherry tomatoes.” Proceeds from copies sold go toward a charity for at-risk kids.
The 15th annual Sally Beauty Best Tressed Survey takes a look back at Hollywood’s best and worst celebrity hairstyles. The survey, commissioned by Sally Beauty Supply, asked American women to cast a vote on the good, the bad and the ugly in celebrity hairstyles from the past year.

The sequel brought in $469.5 million, which was approximately $4 million more than “The Dark Knight”. In the U.S, “The Dark Knight” came out on top with $531 million, with “Iron Man” taking second place, and “Indiana Jones” in third.

Stooges guitarist Ron Asheton has died — apparently of natural causes. He was 60.
New offerings from Eminem and 50 Cent surfaced yesterday. Eminem’s “Crack a Bottle,” which features 50 as well as Dr. Dre, leaked online. A new 50 Cent song, “I Get It In,” debuted just hours before on a New York radio station.
In a lead-up to the Super Bowl, Rihanna, Fall Out Boy and Lifehouse are set to play the Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash on January 29 at Tampa’s Ford Amphitheatre. It will be broadcast live on VH1. The game is February 1 in Tampa.
Jay-Z will play a special concert in D.C. on January 19, the night before the inauguration. It will take place at the 1,847-capacity Warner Theater.
