The Spice Girls are reportedly set to launch a reality TV show to find versions of themselves for a new musical. The girls are to sit on the judging panel for an Andrew Lloyd Webber-style talent program to seek out their five counterparts. All the women, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel B, Geri Halliwell and Mel C., have children, so are are excited that the new show doesn’t involve much traveling. The end result will be a musical for the stage that can be taken on tour.
Nick Lachey recently confirmed that he and Vanessa Minnillo are back together and reportedly, the news dashed Jessica Simpson’s hopes that her missing dog, Daisy, would bring her and her ex-husband back together again. FOX411 is reporting that “She somehow got it in her head that Nick and her would reunite over losing Daisy, since Daisy is really Nick’s dog too.” Nick gave Daisy to Jessica when they were still married.
Nicolas Cage has reportedly sold his Los Angeles mansion. The actor, who owes $6 million in unpaid taxes, has sold the Bel Air property for an amount estimated to be between $9.5 and $15 million. He originally asked for $35 million for the joint, which he bought for $6.5 million in 1998. He is also being sued for almost $2 million over missed credit payments. Cage is blaming his former business manager for the whole mess. Forbes estimates he made $40 million in the last year.
Lil Wayne pled guilty to felony gun possession charges on Thursday and agreed to spend a year behind bars. Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, got into trouble after a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic gun was discovered in his tour bus two years ago. The “Lollipop” singer is out on bail until he’s sentenced in February.
Original “Dallas” stars Linda Gray and Larry Hagman have confirmed they’ve been approached to reprise their roles as Sue Ellen and J.R. Ewing for a remake of the classic 1980s soap. TV executives at Warner Bros. are reportedly considering bringing back Dallas and focusing the new show on the TV couple’s son, John Ross, and his cousin, Christopher, the adoptive son of J.R.’s brother Bobby and sister-in-law Pamela. Gray isn’t exactly excited, however, to play the role of a grandmother and Hagman says he’s interested in the project, but wants to know first how much they’re payin’.
TV Guide ran an online roll asking its readers who is the worse father — Jon Gosselin or “balloon boy” dad Richard Heene. Heene “won” with 64% of the vote.
Madonna has granted the FOX series “Glee” the rights to her full music catalogue for an all-Madonna performance episode, airing early next year.

Yesterday Bon Jovi announced a world tour that will span almost two years to promote their 11th studio album “The Circle”. They’ll perform 135 shows in 30 countries starting in Seattle in February. This includes a “residency” in June at the O2 arena in London. The band was one of the top five touring acts worldwide in 2008. “The Circle” will be released on November 12.
Jay Sean’s single “Down” returned to the top of the chart yesterday, just a week after Britney Spears‘ No. 1 debut bumped him to 2nd. Spears’ “3″ slipped to No. 5 with the bottom dropping out in the digital sales arena. Jason DeRulo’s “Whatcha Say” climbs from No. 4 to No. 2, while Miley Cyrus‘ “Party in the U.S.A.” remains at No. 3.
Chris Brown appeared on a New York City radio show to discuss his life since the February Rihanna incident, and apparently he’s a little disappointed with Oprah. Of her he said: “I don’t dis her because I respect what she does for women around the world. But we did so many things together as far as me working for her schools in Africa, that I feel at the time I needed a helping hand, not for my career but as a person, instead of her pointing fingers.”
