Dom’s Puzzle Update

In February I got together with a fun group of people for the first Puzzle Party. It’s “The World’s Largest Jigsaw Puzzle,” and it has 24,000 pieces. Yes, 24 THOUSAND.
It comes in 4 sections of 6,000 pieces each. Well, we have completed about two-thirds of the first section. So, that means about 4000 of the 24,000. Whew! Here’s the latest shots.
And here’s a link in case you want to find out more about this cool puzzle, and maybe order it for yourself - www.worldslargestpuzzle.com

This is beautiful. In reality, this is just 4 puzzles with 6,000 pieces and not one puzzle with 24,000 pieces, right?

No, it’s one giant puzzle in four sections. Check out the web link I attached, you’ll see how it all comes together.
Thanks!

This is awesome! Would love something for reference as to how big this thing is.

When it’s completed, the entire puzzle will be about 14 feet long and 5 feet tall.
All of the info, including FAQs, can be found on the link that I posted. Check it out, it’s pretty cool!
Thanks for spending your mornings with us!

Where do you keep something this large? What are you going to do with it when it’s done?

Yeah, when the puzzle is finished it will be about 5 feet by 15 feet. Whew!
It comes in four sections, each a little over three and a half feet wide by five feet tall. We’re doing one section at a time. When all four sections are finished, we’ll have it professionally mounted, and then I’ll donate it. I’ve considered donating it to a place with kids, i.e. Childrens Hospital, or a school, or library. Haven’t decided yet.
You gotta check it out on the web site I listed above. The nerd in me loves it!

I’m so jealous! I would love to do this challenge but I have 2 small kids that would lose the pieces if I left this laying out. Maybe in 5 years I can attempt it! Think that is a great idea to donate the finished product.
Love your show!
