Russell Armstrong, the estranged husband of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Taylor Armstrong, was found dead Monday night of an apparent suicide. Armstrong, 47, was found hanging in the bedroom at a friend’s home on Mulholland Drive. Taylor Armstrong filed for divorce in July after six years of marriage; the couple has a 5-year-old daughter. Armstrong’s lawyer said his client was “extremely bummed out” at the divorce filing and was also dealing with serious financial issues.

Drew Carey had to call off taping Tuesday’s “The Price is Right” after he slipped and fell while running and separated his collarbone.  Carey says he will be back today.

Anne Hathaway was on “Conan” last night, and did an original rap about the paparazzi.  She said she wrote it while she was filming “The Dark Knight Rises” and they were all over her.

You gotta wonder who is doing Michele Bachmann’s research!   The Tea Party candidate for the Republican nomination for the presidential race, wished Elvis a happy birthday…unfortunately, it wasn’t the day that Elvis was born, it was the day he died!  While speaking to a crowd gathered at a drive-in restaurant in South Carolina on Monday, Minnesota congresswoman and Republican presidential candidate hopeful Michele Bachmann took a moment to say, “Before we get started, let’s all say ‘Happy Birthday to Elvis Presley’ today.”  Later, Bachmann corrected her error.

Conan O’Brien talked about Michele Bachmann mistaking the anniversary of Elvis’s death for his birthday, and joked that she apologized to the entire Costello family.

On “Bachelor Pad” Monday we saw an amazing act of love when Ames Brown jumped in the exiting limo with Jackie Gordon who had just been voted off the show.  He talked about choosing love over money (ending his hopes at winning $250,000) and it looked like we were all headed for a fairy tale love story.  However, Tuesday we find out the love is already over.  The couple has broken up.  “We had a great time on the show and chose love over money in the competition,” Brown said in a media conference call.  He said they enjoyed their time together, but that they just split after a while. Gordon, a 27-year-old artist/assistant teacher, called Brown a “wonderful person” who “made me feel very comfortable,” but she suggested the breakup wasn’t mutual. “I was shocked that it ended as it did. I thought it was potential forever,” she said. “It came out of nowhere.  As far as I knew, things were great.”

Shane Sparks, a judge on MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew”, entered a plead of no contest to a felony count of having unlawful sex with a minor under 16, on Tuesday.  Sparks, a hip-hop choreographer, had been facing eight felonies in connection with alleged sex acts. Under the plea deal Sparks will serve 270 days in jail and receive five years’ probation. He must also attend 52 sessions of sex-offender counseling and not go near any female minors without an adult present.

Organizers of the Michael Jackson tribute concert has dropped Kiss from the lineup after receiving widespread criticism for booking the band despite bassist, Gene Simmons harsh comments about Jackson.  When the band was announced for the show on October 8th in Wales, Fans, media and the singer’s estate quickly brought it to the promoter’s attention that Simmons said he was convinced Jackson molested children. “Well, you know, where there’s smoke there’s fire,” Simmons said regarding accusations that Jackson abused young boys. “There’s no question in my mind he molested those kids.  Not a doubt” he said in Classic Rock Magazine last year.  Jackson was acquitted of molestation charges after a 2005 trial in California. Global Events Live CEO Chris Hunt accepted blame, calling the booking an “oversight.”  Kiss’ departure leaves Smokey Robinson, Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green as the show’s superstars.

The New Jersey Nets can accept their invitation to team mate Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian’s wedding on Saturday.  With players and their teams not supposed to be in contact during the lockout, they must check with the league about events where they would be together.  Weddings are among the special cases the NBA has allowed.

“The Big Bang Theory” actor, Jim Parsons and his fiancé Todd Allan Spiewak just purchased an apartment together in New York for $1.8 million.  The condo is only 911 square feet, a mansion by Manhattan standards.  The property is on a high floor and has exquisite views of Gramercy Park one of New York’s last private
gardens.

Kevin Federline just can’t help populating the world.  Britney Spear’s former husband and his girlfriend, Victoria Prince, welcomed a daughter into the world on Monday. They named her Jordan Kay.  Federline, 33, and Prince began dating toward the end of 2008. Jordan joins Federline’s other progeny which includes sons Jayden, 4½, and Preston, 5½, with ex-wife Britney Spears and son Kaleb, 7, and daughter Kori, 10, with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson.

Colbie Caillat will appear in the new drama, “The Playboy Club”.   She will be playing the legendary singer, Lesley Gore and will perform her hit song, “It’s My Party And I’ll Cry If I Want To”.  The show is enlisting a series of stars to portray famous performers from the 1960s in the period drama, and Caillat is the first person cast.  Caillat will perform tonight on the “America’s Got Talent” results show.  She’ll be performing her single “Brighter Than the Sun”.  “The Playboy Club” premieres Monday, September 19th.
