Here’s something nobody needed Dakota Fanning to say out loud:  She’s not going to college out of necessity. Dakota is finishing up her first year at NYU and she says, quote, “I’m not going to school for a career.  I’m going for my own interest, for myself.  I already know what I want to do forever.”  Obviously, she’s talking about acting.  And at the age of 18, she’s psyched to be moving on to a new phase in her career.  She says, quote, “I feel like this new chapter as an adult is almost like starting over. “That’s the interesting part about getting older in this business.  I’m excited to present myself differently.”

Gladys Knight and Roshon Fegan faced elimination on “Dancing With the Stars” last night. The judges voted 2 to 1 to save Roshon, so Gladys is heading home. Carrie Ann picked Gladys, but Len and Bruno both voted for Roshon.

Lindsay Lohan has been cast as Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming Lifetime movie. Yesterday Donny Deutsch claimed Lindsay is the Elizabeth Taylor of her generation, and Rosie O’Donnell did NOT agree.

Keep saving those congratulations! Jessica Simpson hasn’t given birth yet. The first-time mom-to-be is still awaiting the birth of her baby girl, and while she waits she’s making sure she’ll look fabulous at the hospital. “I just woke up from a dream that I wore a leopard caftan in the hospital. Fabulous!!” Simpson tweeted Tuesday. “Now I need to find one!” The 31-year-old Fashion Star mentor and her fiance Eric Johnson are expecting their first child together and fans are very eager for the baby’s arrival. “To everyone who keeps congratulating me on the birth of my baby girl…I’m still pregnant!!” Simpson tweeted Saturday. “Don’t believe what you read ladies and gents.”

Steven Tyler will be taking delivery of a $1.1 million roadster just in time for his summer vacation at the end of the “American Idol” season. He will be the first owner of the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder, a 1,200 horsepower automobile with a theoretical top speed of 275 mph. The two-seat convertible is based on a Lotus chassis and powered by a Chevy Corvette V8 that’s been heavily modified and twin-turbocharged by Hennessey. The Venom can reportedly accelerate from 0-200 mph in 15.3 seconds. Only five Spyders will be built next year, but Tyler’s black on black model will be unique. No word if Tyler will be hanging any scarves from the gearshift lever.

Julie Andrews was on “The Colbert Report” last night. Stephen tried several times to get her to do a duet with him, and she finally gave in.

Former Vice President Al Gore has landed a spot in the first ever class of inductees into the Internet Hall of Fame. Gore is getting credit for his infamous 1999 claim when he said, “I took the initiative in creating the
Internet”. Gore along with thirty-two other names were announced Monday at the Internet Society’s Global INET 2012 conference in Geneva, Switzerland.

Britney Spears has sold her Beverly Hills estate for $4,253,000, which is impressive, since the house was listed at $2,995,000. Even though Britney got significantly more than the asking price, she bought the estate in 2007 for $6.8 mil.

“American Idol” Season 10 winner, Scotty McCreery, is the starting pitcher for his school, Garner High.  (yes, he is still in high school) At the game he threw a pitch that came back at him and hit him in the throat.  Scotty’s all right and he managed to recover and throw out the batter.  His coach, Derik Goffena said that Scotty was scared by the ball more than anything.

Jack Osbourne and his fiancée, Lisa Stelly, welcomed a baby girl into the world yesterday.  They named her Pearl. The baby weighed in at 8 lbs., 6 oz.  Grandma, Sharon Osbourne, says she’s “going to be the grandmother from hell because she is going to spoil the baby so bad…” “Today I witnessed my first grandchild being born, life changing experience,” the proud grandma Tweeted Tuesday evening. “She is an angel.”

It’s no secret that Heidi Klum likes to pose in her birthday suit. The new nude pictorial was done for Astor Cosmetics’ 60th anniversary and featured funky body paint designs by Joanne Gair. According to Klum’s blog, it took 12 hours for Gair to decorate Heidi’s body with the paint.  “You have to be good at being patient! I don’t mind sitting still for such a long time, though; it’s a living piece of art that I’m so honored to be a part of.”

John Cusack received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his film accomplishments on Tuesday. His sister, Joan Cusack attended the event as did Billy Bob Thornton, Jack Black and director-producer Joe Roth. “To the best of my knowledge, I’ve tried to screw my career up as much as I possibly could,” Cusack told the assembled crowd. “But even with all my best efforts to screw it up, I managed to have lasting friendships, and some of the best friends I’ve ever met in the business.”

Jack White has been signed to write, produce and perform the score for Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ upcoming adaptation of “The Lone Ranger.” “The Lone Ranger” is based on the popular television series from the 1950s and tells the story of a masked crime fighter who rides a horse.  The film stars Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp as his trusty Native American sidekick, Tonto.  White first achieved notoriety as the lead guitarist and vocalist of the rock band the White Stripes and then as a member of the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather.  The film is slated
for release May 31st, 2013.
