Lexus offers several hybrid choices, and since they come from the Toyota family - makers of the ubiquitous Prius - you expect them to do a good job…and they don’t disappoint.

Of course, when someone in the parking garage confused my test ride with our co-worker Jane’s Ford Focus hatchback…well, it does kinda make you scratch your head over the $20,000 price difference.

That’s just on the outside appearance, though. Spend a week tooling around in the CT 200h and you’ll soon realize where the differences lie. (more…)

Thanks so much to Alex and Sam’s No. 3 for bringing us a great breakfast this morning! We had a variety of burritos to choose from, plenty of bacon, (yum), and Jane and Emily inhaled delicious Greek omelets. Sam’s has two locations, in Denver and Aurora, and are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Check their 13, (yes, 13!) page menu at www.samsno3.com

Most people go through cell phones in a year or two, and your laptop probably dies before its fifth birthday. So how about a couple of ridiculously complex spacecraft that are celebrating their 35th birthdays by slipping out of our solar system…while still sending back reports?

And if you’re a coffee drinker, you’ll want to see this new study. Or maybe you won’t. Depends on how much java you’re slurping down each day.

Plus, video this week that you don’t want to miss. It’s a robot that wins EVERY TIME it plays Rock Paper Scissors. How? Uh, it’s cheating. Like I said, you gotta see the video.

All of that, and more, can be found right here. Don’t wait, check it out now, and get your nerd on.

Ann Curry announced yesterday that she’ll be stepping down as co-host of “Today”. She’s not leaving NBC, but she’ll be heading up a new department that focuses on international news. She thanked fans and viewers for their support, and apologized for being a “sob sister.” Matt Lauer responded to Ann’s big news. He said they’d still be working with each other and he thanked her for making the show better. Then he kissed her on the side of the head. (more…)

John Edwards mistress, Rielle Hunter, was on “The View” yesterday to promote her tell-all book about the affair.  The women on the show really let her have it, particularly Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters.  Elisabeth told Rielle that regardless of what she says, she WAS a mistress, and Whoopi said Rielle put the whole nation in “a very awkward position” with the affair.  Barbara also quoted Rielle as saying she bullied her in an interview, and Barbara said that never happened. Hey “The Bachelor” fans…do you remember last season’s “winner” Courtney Robertson? She was picked by Bachelor, Ben Flajnik…she was such an evil force on the show, but Ben seemed to be such a douche, nobody really cared…anyway…she’s planning on writing an “explosive” tell all. Courtney says her portrayal as a villain on the show was not fair and she wants to set the record straight.  Reportedly, Courtney plans to expose some of the show’s biggest secrets from late night calls from producers telling her exactly how to act and respond, to calls from the production company to talk about her appearing on “Bachelor Pad”, “Dancing With the Stars”, and “The Bachelorette”.  She will definitely talk about Ben and their relationship.
