Kirstie Alley reveals that she and Patrick Swayze were once in love and later, she developed feelings for John Travolta after they worked together in a movie in the 80’s. Alley, who is currently on “Dancing With The Stars” was on “Good Morning America” and talked all about her new book, “The Art of Men.” “Believe me, it took everything I had inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John and be with John for the rest of my life,” she said. But Alley was married at the time to her second husband, Parker Stevenson — the same man she emotionally cheated on with Patrick Swayze. She and Stevenson ended up divorcing in 1997. Travolta and Alley worked together on the 1989 hit “Look Who’s Talking,” and calls Travolta “the greatest love of my life,” She also denies rumors that he’s gay. “I know John. With all my heart and soul, he’s not gay,” she says.
On the “Today” show yesterday, Savannah Guthrie asked Kristen Stewart if she’s back together with Robert Pattinson. And even though we all know she is, she wouldn’t admit it.
Jon Bon Jovi is embarrassed about the antics and stardom achieved by members of the cast of “Jersey Shore”. He’s taking aim at the producers of the MTV show and accusing them of promoting instant fame and misrepresenting his home state. He is adamant the housemates featured in the show are not typical New Jersey residents, and has criticized MTV for contributing to the modern “culture of fame.” “I more resent that those shows create ‘celebrities’, that’s bad. Some kid is struggling to write a song, or to be an actor or write a book, and kids want to get famous to be famous. I don’t like that. It’s really sad.”
Jay Leno talked about Donald Trump being upset with President Obama’s re-election. Jay said after it happened, Donald demanded to see Obama’s electoral college records.
Vice President Joe Biden secretly filmed a “Parks and Rec” cameo in July. Now that the election is over the announcement can be made that Biden will appear on “Parks and Recreation” next week. The NBC comedy kept the cameo hush-hush because if word leaked, it would have had to give VP candidate Paul Ryan similar screen time.
Conan O’Brien talked last night about the Kenyan woman who gave birth to twin boys . . . and named them Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. He said the one that came out second got named Romney.
Roseanne Barr places 5th in the presidential election. She ended the night with a little over 48,000 votes,
At a show in Minnesota on Sunday, Madonna confirmed reports that she recently invited Lady Gaga to perform with her . . . but she got turned down. But she’s okay with it, because getting rejected builds character. Gaga’s manager had said she would have done it, but she was too busy with her own tour.
Actor Tom Hanks is sporting a mustache for his role as Walt Disney in “Saving Mr. Banks.” The film is about the making of “Mary Poppins” with Emma Thompson playing the book’s author P.L. Travers. Filming for the movie began in September in Los Angeles and scenes were shot at Disneyland on Tuesday and Wednesday. “Saving Mr. Banks” is scheduled to hit theaters Dec. 20, 2013.
Speaking of Tom Hanks…his insurance guy just got busted for bilking four clients, including Hanks and The Police’s Andy Summers, out of more than $800,000. Jerry B. Goldman was released on a $25,000 bond hours after being
arraigned on 10 charges of mail fraud, each of which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison. According to the Los Angeles Times, a grand jury indictment handed down Oct. 30 alleges that Goldman over billed his clients by as much as 600% between 1998 and August 2011 by creating bogus invoices on his company letterhead that overstated the premiums due. A trial date has been set for December 18th.
Britney Spears says she is “definitely” going to be returning to The X Factor next season. She talked lovingly about the singers she was mentoring saying, “They’re like my little children.” Another judge, L.A. Reid told Billboard last
month that he wouldn’t make any changes to the lineup. “I’m actually very hopeful that ‘X Factor’ keeps the same panel going forward,” he said.
With her slurred speech and erratic behavior on Tuesday night, some in the ABC viewing audience thought Diane Sawyer might be a little tipsy while reporting the election results. According to RadarOnline.com, she prefers her news with a glass of wine and they even have some old footage to prove it. “I’ll have what Diane Sawyer is having,” tweeted singer Josh Groban who expressed the same sentiment as many did on twitter. However, New York Times’ Brian Stelter defended Diane, saying she had an off-night and that “she gets this way when she’s really tired.”
Just three weeks after officially splitting from her “Bachelorette” fiance of five months, Jef Holm, Emily Maynard was spotted getting cozy with a new man: Nascar truck racer Jason White, 33. “They were all over each other,” says a witness who saw them at the November 3rd Carrie Underwood concert in Charlotte, North Carolina. White is, of course, not the first racer she’s taken an interest in. The late Ricky Hendrick, her first fiance and father of her daughter, Ricki, 7, was a Nascar driver, and she was linked with Dale Earnhardt Jr., 38, in 2006. “Emily tried something new, dating Jef,” says a pal. “She is going to go back to what she knows and considers safe.”
Lady Gaga announced on her website she would pledge $1 million to New York and American Red Cross for Sandy relief. “If it wasn’t for NYC: the Lower East Side, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn, I would not be the woman or artist that I am today,” she wrote. “Please accept this gift on behalf of myself, my parents Joe and Cynthia, my sister Natali; with our deepest gratitude New York for raising us. Thank you for helping me build my spirit. I will now help you rebuild yours.”
Jermaine Jackson has filed a request to legally CHANGE his last name, or at least the spelling of it…he wants it changed from Jackson to “Jacksun”… Jermaine filed a petition for a change of name with L.A. County Superior Court
on Tuesday asking to change his last name. The request has NOT yet been approved by a judge — but a hearing has been scheduled.
Olympic snowboarder Shaun White has agreed to go to alcohol treatment after his public intoxication smack down arrest in September. His deal with prosecutors entails rehab, 24 hours of community service and pay restitution to the Nashville hotel where he reportedly trashed a room. If Shaun holds up his end of the deal with prosecutors by January 25th they have agreed to dismiss the public intoxication charge against him.
Jennifer Lopez says she did not get anyone fired and the German maid who claims she lost her job because of the singer is way out of line. The story that got its start in a German tabloid says the maid approached her for an autograph while she was staying at a hotel where she worked. The maid claims Lopez complained to management and the maid got the axe the next day. Sources say there WAS an incident involving a maid, but it didn’t involve an autograph. It was more like the maid had “barged” into the room unannounced and the singer’s security immediately kicked her out because they didn’t know who she was. Hotel management has since assured Lopez’s people that no one was fired — but the maid company the hotel uses has relocated the woman in question to a different property.
