Lindsay Lohan is reportedly very upset about the negative reviews and reactions to her Lifetime movie, “Liz & Dick”. Most of the negatives were aimed directly at Lohan’s acting, or lack of, as she pretended to be Elizabeth Taylor. Lohan had thought that this movie would be the one that would catapult her right to the top in Hollywood again. Lohan is no stranger to criticism, but this is the first time the negatives have come from a professional performance.
Conan O’Brien talked about Cyber Monday. He joked that today is known as, “I Was Drunk When I Bought All That Crap Tuesday.”

Dolly Parton has been plagued by gay rumors for years in part because she has a longtime female friend named Judy Ogle. But in a new interview with “Nightline”, she says it’s not true. She says she and Judy are just best friends, and it’s basically an Oprah / Gayle thing. There was also a story that Dolly copied her look from a woman in her hometown . . . who was known as the town tramp. And Dolly says it’s true.
Dolly told a funny story about a time she decided to enter a drag queen contest . and LOST, to a bunch of gay guys who were dressed up as HER. No one knew she was the real Dolly. She says it’s a good thing she’s a girl, or she would have to be a drag queen herself.
19-year-old “Two and a Half Men” star Angus T. Jones gave an interview to a religious website, where he referred to the show as FILTH and suggested that people stop watching it and said he no longer wanted to be a part of it. Jones gets $300,000 an episode to play Jake Harper. The awakening Angus experienced comes from a man named Christopher Hudson, who goes by the name, Forerunner. He frequently preaches about occult evils influencing the entertainment industry and the government. In released videos, Jones says he has accepted the Seventh Day and has come to reject television and “Two and a Half Men.” He calls the show “filth” and says he wishes he wasn’t on it. This is the first time in ten years that Jones has spoken out against the show and until recently, embraced his connection with the sitcom.
Brad Pitt was on “Showbiz Tonight” last night, talking about some vague plan he has with Angelina Jolie to get married at SOME point in the future. He says they’re doing it for their kids as well as themselves. But they haven’t picked a date yet.
Miley Cyrus got props from PETA when celebrating her 20th birthday, she suggested people donate to two of her favorite animal charities instead of buying her a present. As a result, PETA is sponsoring a pig in Miley’s honor. The pig in question is named Nora and lives at the Kindred Spirits Sanctuary in Ocala, Fla. The farm takes in used or abused animals, and Cyrus apparently thought that Nora was a great gift. “Thank you so much for saving Nora in honor of my bday,” she tweeted at PETA. “oh my pigggggyyyyy! She is so cute I can hardly stand ittttttt!!!! she looks so happy yay”
Martin Gore, guitarist and songwriter for Depeche Mode not only doesn’t like “X Factor” judge Simon Cowell, he thinks the creator of “American Idol” ought to be shot. Gore feels that Simon is all about the commercialization of pop music, not an artistic dive into the soul of rock. The statement came as part of an interview Gore conducted with Music Week magazine where he vented his frustration with the current state of music in general and with Simon Cowell in particular. “I’m not advocating violence,” Gore explained when talking about the music industry. “But I think somebody should shoot Simon Cowell.” Cowell wasted no time in issuing an angry response via Twitter. Cowell tweeted, “I read Martin Gore wants to shoot me. He was is in depeche mode. Do you realize how weird and stupid that makes you. Go and watch the news.” A few minutes later, Cowell added “Why I am angry about weirdo gore is a ton of people have got shot this year and people like weirdo gore encourage this.”
Speaking of Simon Cowell, he is the latest swatting victim in L.A. — someone called 911 Sunday and reported the “X Factor” judge was duct taped in his home and being held hostage. Police responded in full force after they received a phone call from a female, but discovered Cowell home and relaxing with no knowledge of the commotion around him. It’s the latest in a string of swatting incidents. Other victims include Ashton Kutcher, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.
Another new Ke$ha track has leaked online. This one’s called “Dirty Love”, and it features Iggy Pop singing about COCKROACH sex . . . and Rick Santorum sex.
We talked yesterday about how Charlie Sheen gave Lindsay Lohan $100,000 to put toward her nearly quarter million dollar tax bill. But she’s not the only one who benefited from Charlie Sheen’s generosity after “Scary Movie 5″. Charlie donated the rest of his SM5 paycheck to 3 different charities that were picked by the movie’s producer, director and filmmaker. Sheen was paid $250,000 for showing up for just one day of shooting and for some reason, he decided he wanted to give it away.
Musician Lenny Kravitz is set to play soul music icon Marvin Gaye in a movie scheduled to begin production early next year. The Marvin Gaye project will focus on the singer’s early ’80s attempt at dealing with his addictions and mounting a professional comeback before his untimely murder in 1984.
Cee Lo Green will guest star on “Anger Management” in a Season 2 episode. Green will seek Charlie’s assistance after finding himself afraid he’ll soon explode under too much stress. Over the summer, FX renewed Anger Management for a second season and then some: an additional 90 episodes.
Beyonce is executive producing and staring in a feature-length documentary about her life on HBO next February. The film will feature onstage and offstage access to the singer-actress, some of which she shot on her laptop. The film will also highlight her childhood, getting ready for a show, running a business and being a wife and mother. The program will air tentatively on February 16th, 2013.
The UK’s fantasy drama “Merlin,” about the legendary wizard and a young King Arthur, will end after the fifth season. BBC One has confirmed that Series 5 will bring the show to a “natural and dramatic end” with a two-part finale set to air in the UK at Christmas. For American viewers, the fifth season premieres Friday, January 4th at 10pm on SyFy. The decision to conclude the series was made by co-creators and executive producers and not by the network.
The Edinburgh house where J.K. Rowling wrote four of her seven Harry Potter novels has been sold for well over $3.6 million. The 19th-century Victorian mansion which includes eight bedrooms, a walled garden and a detached office in the back where Rowling reportedly worked was sold to an anonymous Scottish businessman. The house was on the market for three weeks.
