Former cast member Martin Short will return to host “Saturday Night Live” on December 15th for SNL’s Christmas show. Paul McCartney will appear for his fourth stint as musical guest.
Charlie Sheen is speaking out about the video made by “Two and A Half Men” former fellow castmate, Angus T. Jones. Sheen spoke up after Jones called the sitcom “filth” and begged viewers not to watch the show, saying “it is radically clear to me that the show is cursed.”

Angus T. Jones issued another statement Tuesday, covering his rear end and trying to preserve his $300,000 per episode payday saying the folks behind the sitcom deserve his appreciation for giving him one of the most significant experiences of his life so far. He went on saying, “I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.”
Scarlett Johansson agreed to do the weather on the “Today” show yesterday, to fill in for Al Roker, who was suffering from laryngitis. She said it was a dream come true. She ended it with Al’s signature line . . . “Here’s what’s happening in your neck of the woods.”
“Dancing With the Stars” picked its newest champions last night. Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani won the mirror ball. Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough came in second. Melissa came in third on Season 8 when Shawn was the champion.
At least one dancer seemed like he didn’t want the season to end. Derek Hough got a little misty talking about his partner Shawn Johnson. He said she was his little spark, and if they won the all-star season it would be a perfect ending.
Jason Sudeikis from “Saturday Night Live” was on the “Ellen” show, and he did as many celebrity impressions as he could in 60 seconds. He did Simon Cowell, Eddie Murphy, Donald Trump, David Letterman, Cher, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Prince. The British one she missed after Letterman was Ricky Gervais.
The Washington D.C. office of House Speaker John Boehner got stormed by a bunch of NAKED people yesterday. They were protesting potential budget cuts to HIV and AIDS programs. Here’s a clip of the protesters chanting.
Conan O’Brien talked about the nude protesters at John Boehner’s office yesterday. Conan said Boehner didn’t know what they were protesting, but he’s going to keep doing it.
Talking about characters returning to the small screen, Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel who starred as Cory and Topanga the fictional couple on the ’90s hit series “Boy Meets World” are reuniting. Both actors have signed on to reprise their roles on the Disney Channel pilot “Girl Meets World”. The new series would pick up more than 10 years after Boy Meets World left off with Cory and Topanga married and raising a 13-year-old daughter, Riley. The story would be told from Riley’s perspective, and that role has yet to be filled.

There is a sample of a new Jimi Hendrix song. It’s called “Somewhere” . . . and it’ll be on a new album of previously unreleased songs that’s due out March 5th. The album is called “People, Hell, and Angels”. It’s not just a collection of unreleased material. It’s an unfinished album that was intended to be a follow-up to “Electric Ladyland”.
Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean and his wife, Rochelle Deanna Karidis, welcomed their first child, Ava Jaymes, on Tuesday. Ava was born at 4:51am in Los Angeles and weighed in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces. McLean and his makeup artist wife married in December 2011 and announced they were expecting in April.
Audra McDonald, who played Dr. Naomi Bennett on “Private Practice” will return for the shows finale. Bennett was the best friend of Addison (Kate Walsh) and ex-wife of Sam played by Taye Diggs. Naomi left the Seaside Wellness Clinic at the end of Season 4 and joined Fife (Michael Patrick Thornton) in New York. McDonald left the show to be closer to her New York-based family.
Ashlee Simpson and her boyfriend, “Boardwalk Empire” star Vincent Piazza, have called it quits after a year and a half of dating. The two split over the Thanksgiving holiday saying the relationship ended because the two never got to see each other. Simpson began dating Piazza in June 2011, following her split with Pete Wentz, the father of her 3-year-old son, Bronx.
