Katy Perry and John Mayer appear to be moving in together. The couple have been dating for four months and have been seen house hunting so they can take their relationship to the next level. They hope to find a place before Christmas. Sources say the couple - who had a brief split in October before getting back together - are smitten with each other and like to spend every moment they can together. Katy - whose 14-month marriage to Russell Brand ended last December - has already introduced John to her parents.
Two winning tickets for last night’s record $580 million Powerball jackpot were sold. One in Arizona and one in Missouri. The winning numbers were 5, 23, 16, 22, 29 and the Powerball was 6.
Lindsay Lohan was ARRESTED at 4 AM Thursday in New York City for allegedly punching a woman at a New York City nightclub … law enforcement sources tell TMZ. Our sources say Lohan was at Club Avenue when she got into some sort of argument with a female patron and it became physical. We’re told cops came and arrested Lindsay for allegedly assaulting her. Law enforcement tells us prior to the fight words were exchanged between Lindsay and the woman as they sat in separate booths near each other. Lindsay said something to the effect of, “Give me my space.” Some time passed and then, for some reason, Lindsay allegedly punched the girl in the left side of her face. We’re told by the time cops arrived Lindsay had left the club and was a passenger in a car that was leaving the area. Cops intercepted the car and made the arrest. At the time of this post Lindsay is still at the police station.
And this isn’t Lindsay’s only legal problem. TMZ broke the story … she is about to be charged with lying to cops in June after her car accident on Pacific Coast Highway. She told them she was a passenger in the Porsche when actually she was driving. And, if Lindsay is formally charged with the latest crime, it could trigger yet another probation violation.
And speaking of that car accident, after her movie, “Liz and Dick” got negative reviews on Lifetime, now the cable channel may hit Lohan with a breach of contract lawsuit. Lohan’s contract with Lifetime’s insurance company explicitly stipulated that not only was the film’s star prohibited from getting behind the wheel, but from riding in any other vehicle other than the one provided — with a driver — by Lifetime throughout the six week filming period. Problem is that Lindsay was behind the wheel of her rented Porsche when she ran into the rear of an 18 wheeler on Highway One. Lifetime is apparently talking to Lindsay’s legal team in an attempt to get this all settled before it goes to court. The actress will find out soon if she will be charged with lying to police when she first denied being behind the wheel at the time of the accident.
According to massive chatter online, Jessica Simpson may have a second baby on the way. The news comes less than seven months after Simpson gave birth to her first child, Maxwell Drew. “It definitely wasn’t planned. But yes, Jessica is pregnant again,” a source tells Us Weekly. “She really is overjoyed!” Simpson just recently debuted her 60 pound weight loss following the weight gain she had while pregnant with Maxwell. Simpson is still currently engaged to her baby daddy, Eric Johnson, though a wedding date has not been set. Maxwell was born May 1, 2012.
“Life & Style” magazine says that before Miley Cyrus will marry Liam Hemsworth, she wants an iron-clad prenup to protect her fortune and her DOGS. Miley is worth $130 million, and she doesn’t want to lose a dime of it. Of course, Liam’s got $20 million of his own, so it’s not like he needs any of her cash. But money’s not the only thing she’s worried about. A source says, quote, “Miley has a half-dozen dogs that are her babies. She doesn’t want to lose them.”
The Los Angeles City Attorney’s office say that the Thanksgiving brawl between two of Halle Berry’s men, her ex, Gabriel Aubry and her fiancee, Olivier Martinez were BOTH to blame for skirmish, therefore, no charges will be filed. Law enforcement officials deemed the fight was “mutual combat.” Berry currently has a restraining order that mandates Aubry stay 100 yards away from her, Martinez and Berry’s daughter with Aubry, Nahla. Aubry got the worst of it.
This New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, aired on ABC, will be the first time the program will go on without it’s creator, Dick Clark. Clark, who originated the annual ”New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” special in 1971, died at age 82 in April. (Al Green, Helen Reddy and Three Dog Night performed at Clark’s first New Year’s special.) Fergie and Jenny McCarthy will be hosts of a two-hour tribute to Clark that will air at 8pm on New Year’s Eve. Ryan Seacrest will host the countdown itself from Times Square with Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, Neon Trees, Flo Rida and Pitbull among the musical guests.
Demi Moore is finally gotten herself back to dating over a year after her split with former husband, Ashton Kutcher. And this guy is even younger than Ashton! New York Post’s Page Six reports that Moore, 50, has been “quietly spending time” with art dealer Vito Schnabel, 26. The two first got together at Naomi Campbell’s boyfriend’s 50th birthday party in India earlier in November.
Charlie Sheen continues to blast “Two and a Half Men” over the Angus T. Jones video. After calling the program “cursed” he added that it is show creator, Chuck Lorre’s fault Angus has suffered “an emotional tsunami.” He adds, “I dare anyone to spend ten years in the laugh-track that is Chuck Lorre’s hive of oppression and not suffer some form of an emotional tsunami.” In the meantime, Charlie has invited Angus to come make an appearance on his show, “Anger Management”. Jones says he will honor his contractual obligations to the show and will remain until the next season is complete before leaving.
Regis Philbin was back for the season premiere of “Hot in Cleveland” last night. He plays a hair stylist with a thing for Betty White’s character Elka. In a scene he confronts her after finding out that she went to get her hair done by his brother.
Conan O’Brien talked about NFL players using Viagra to give them an edge in their games. Conan said it comes in handy when it’s “fourth and inches.”
“Prosecuting Casey Anthony” starring Rob Lowe will debut early next year on the Lifetime cable network. Based on prosecutor Jeff Ashton’s book, “Imperfect Justice”, the movie will air January 19th, at 8pm. Lowe plays Ashton and the story is told through his point of view. Anthony was arrested in 2008 and charged in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. She was acquitted of murder in summer 2010.
The “Deadliest Catch” guys, Andy and Johnathan Hillstrand, who star in the popular Discovery series, will appear on shopping network QVC this Sunday to sell their “Deadliest Catch Alaskan Style Crab Cakes.” The brothers will appear on host, David Venable;s show, “In The Kitchen With David”. The crab cakes, made with crab and cod and a variety of seasonings are said to have been made especially for QVC. The Hillstrand brothers, who are third-generation Alaskan fishermen, have starred on “Deadliest Catch” since the show premiered in 2005. The ninth season is slated to premiere in April.
After Bobbi Kristina Brown confirmed her engagement to boyfriend and adopted brother Nick Gordon in a promo for their Lifetime show, “The Houstons: On Our Own”, Gordon himself has now taken to Twitter and admits the two have broken up. Bobbi Kristina also took to Twitter that same day, but posted about spending quality time with Gordon. Yikes! All week long Bobbi Kristina has been tweeting about being strong and being alone, but has never confirmed the breakup. It’s beginning to look like it’s all a ruse to boost the ratings for the show.
In more Bobbi Kristina news, the girl miraculously escaped injury after wrecking her Chevy Camaro in a frightening car crash yesterday. According to law enforcement, a passer-by noticed Bobbi’s car all smashed up in an embankment and called 911. When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, Bobbi Kristina was standing next to her vehicle and appeared to be uninjured. Officers conducted an investigation and believe Whitney Houston’s daughter simply lost control of her car while making a left turn out of her apartment complex … and drove over a curb and down an embankment, striking several small trees along the way. Police issued her a traffic citation for “failure to maintain lane.” It does not appear that drugs or alcohol were in any way involved.
Kanye West has found himself smack dab in the middle of his girlfriend’s divorce case. He’s been called to sit for a deposition when Kim herself hasn’t even been called to make her statements yet. Kardashian’s lawyer, Laura Wasser says Kris is just dragging his feet and needs to you know what or get off the pot. Wasser says Humphries and his team are raising questions about the prenup he signed, which gives him nothing in the event of a divorce. The judge has set a trial date of February 15th.
Taking his baby to the Playboy Mansion for a party doesn’t seem so bad now that it appears that Kelsey Grammer’s 4 month old baby rides in the car without a car seat! Grammer and his wife Kayte flew into LAX on Tuesday with their daughter, Faith. They were met by a chauffeured SUV. There was no car seat for the baby and it appears the couple didn’t travel with one either to use in any cars they may have been in while they were away. Kayte jumped in, put on her seat belt and then held the baby and took off… a clear violation of the California car seat law. The whole incident was caught on tape.
The piano used for the song “As Times Goes By” in the classic 1942 film “Casablanca” is going up for auction at Sotheby’s in New York on December 14th. The piano is estimated to see for $1.2 million. It’s being offered by a Japanese collector on the film’s 70th anniversary. The collector purchased the movie prop at a Sotheby’s auction in 1988 for $154,000. Humphrey Bogart played Rick Blaine in the Oscar-winning World War II love story, opposite Ingrid Bergman’s character, Ilsa Lund. In a famous flashback scene, Rick and Ilsa lean on the piano at a Paris bistro. Sam plays and sings. They toast as Rick says: “Here’s looking at you, kid.”
The average size of a diamond engagement ring is reportedly 1.18 carats. But that average is taking a hit now that Nikki Sixx just graced his fiancee with a six carat engagement ring. Sixx popped the question to 27-year-old Courtney Bingham during a trip to St. Barts this past weekend. Sources say the evening started with a candle-lit stroll on beach … followed by dinner in a tent strewn with rose petals … and when the moment was right, Sixx whipped out the ring. Courtney said yes…after all, the ring was six carats! No word on when the two plan on a wedding ceremony.
