The Jane Report

Conan O’Brien talked about the Oscar nominations being announced yesterday, and “Lincoln” receiving 12 nominations. He said the only thing next for “Lincoln” is a sequel.

Academy Award nominations were led Thursday by “Lincoln,” with 12 nominations, and “Life of Pi,” with 11… “Les Miserables” and “Silver Linings Playbook,” each got eight and “Argo,” garnered seven. Directors Ben Affleck of “Argo,” Kathryn Bigelow of “Zero Dark Thirty” and Tom Hooper of “Les Miserables” didn’t make the cut with Oscar, though their films are in the best-picture race. Academy members final voting begins Feb. 8th, with a deadline of Feb. 19th before the Feb. 24th awards ceremony.

In case you missed it Brad Paisley rolled out a silly new song called “The Ballad of Honey Boo Boo” on Wednesday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live”. It’s hilarious.

Conan O’Brien also talked about Justin Bieber being sued for allegedly beating up his former bodyguard. Conan wondered who hires a bodyguard that Justin Bieber can beat up.

Justin Bieber is being sued by one of his big Israeli bodyguards who claim the 5′7″, 130 pound singer beat the crap out of him during a disagreement. Moshe Benabou, an ex-member of the Israeli army, says he worked for the singer from March 2011 to Oct. 2012. Benabou is seeking unspecified damages for assault and battery and more than $420,000 in unpaid overtime. Bieber’s camp says Moshe is nothing more than a “disgruntled employee looking for money” and the claim that Bieber would beat him up is absurd. As for why Moshe was fired, sources say he told multiple lies including a that he had worked closely with Justin Timberlake before being hired by Bieber.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are looking for a place to move in with each other in Chicago after spending Christmas there. The report has not been confirmed but allegedly Chicago is good because it’s close to Kutcher’s hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and far enough away from Hollywood to be comfortable for the low key pair.

Megan Fox finally joined Twitter last Thursday. And one week later, she QUIT . . . because she HATES IT. In a Facebook post yesterday she explained, quote, “I thought that 2013 might be the year that I finally blossomed into a social networking butterfly, but as it turns out, I still hate it. “Love you guys but I will just never be that girl. Facebook is as much as I can handle. I’m sorry.”

It’s coming out that Lindsay Lohan was an utter disaster on the set of the movie ”The Canyons”..as if that would come as any as a surprise. Stephen Rodrick who was embedded in the project to chronicle it from start to finish says Lohan was a mess who was initially fired after blowing off two days of filming. Rodrick says Lohan showed up to the director’s hotel room, pounded on the door while hysterically crying and begging for her job back. Rodrick says Lohan stayed in the hallway sobbing for 90 minutes before finally leaving. Eventually, she was hired back to the production, but things got worse with the actress constantly criticizing the producers and her co-stars. Rodrick says Lohan also freaked out before a sex scene in which she was supposed to get naked … and locked herself in a closet. He says the director had to beg her to do the scene … and eventually stripped naked himself to show her it was no big deal.

Jon Gosselin may have bowed out of reality tv, but the government hasn’t forgotten him and apparently, he’s been served with a $39,000 lien for money he failed to pay from 2009. 2009 was the year Jon and Kate announced they were getting a divorce and were forced into the spotlight more than they already were and made much more money that year than anticipated. It will be interesting to see if Jon has that kind of money laying around any more…

Charlie Sheen it appears, was a good friend of 29 year old Chris Guerra, the papparazo who was killed after being struck by a car in Los Angeles on New Year’s Day while taking photos of Justin Bieber’s car. Now the actor has cut a $12,000 check to Guerra’s family which he hopes will help with the funeral expenses. Charlie released this statement: “A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject. It’s an unforgiving moment that begs us all to be human and work as one to prevent this in the future.” He continues, “As parents, we are all not supposed to bury our children. My deepest condolences to the families involved.”
