The 70th annual Golden Globe Awards were last night, and Amy Poehler and Tina Fey were the hosts.  They opened with a few jokes about TV and movie people coming together.  Amy joked that “only at the Golden Globes do the beautiful people of film rub shoulders with the rat-faced people of television.”

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler mocked the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which selects the nominees and the winners for the Golden Globes.  Amy said that if HFPA goes untreated, it can lead to cervical cancer. They also made some jokes about Quentin Tarantino and Meryl Streep. Tina said Quentin is the “star of all [her] sexual nightmares,” and Amy said Meryl Streep had the flu, and she heard “she was amazing in it.”

Jodie Foster won the Cecille B. DeMille award for her body of work and she was the hit of the night.  In part her speech touched on the obsession with celebs and she said she missed the old days when actors and actresses actually had privacy.  She said she already “did [her] coming out” a while back to people she trusted, but these days celebrities have reality shows and other ridiculous things that make them lose their privacy.  She also sort of slammed Honey Boo Boo.

One of the show’s big surprises was a visit from Bill Clinton.  He came on to introduce a clip from Best Motion Picture nominee “Lincoln”.  He got a standing ovation, and then Amy Poehler nailed him with a pretty good joke after he left.

Adele won Best Song for “Skyfall” from the movie, “Skyfall.”  She was very excited when she got the award, and said she wasn’t expecting it at all.  She also said she’d been “pissing [herself]” all night laughing.

It’s been confirmed that when Lance Armstrong appears in an interview with Oprah Winfrey to tape today, he will admit to doping throughout his career. Armstrong, 41, has denied doping for years, often attacking his accusers as liars.  Things changed after the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency released a massive amount of evidence that showed him guilty in October. Since then, he has been banned from the sport of cycling, he has been stripped of his seven Tour de France medals, his sponsors dropped him and Armstrong was forced to step down from Livestrong, the cancer-fighting charity he founded.  The program will air Thursday on OWN.

“Live” talk show host, Kelly Ripa and her husband, actor Mark Consuelos, just put their five-bedroom, 6,800-square-foot SoHo loft on the market for $24.5 million. They purchased the home in 2005 for $9.1 million.  The loft has 3,000 square feet of outdoor space furnished in a Zen manner with a hot tub, outdoor kitchen, and trellis covered seating area. Inside, a staircase set against a Balinese wall leads from a 20-x-35-foot living room and gourmet kitchen with two dishwashers to a second story with home gym, media room, guest bedroom and roof deck.

Saturday Night Live’s Jason Sudeikis proposed to actress, Olivia Wilde shortly after the holidays. Sudeikis, 37, and Wilde, 28, began dating in November of 2011 and moved in together last year No word yet on a wedding date.

“Two And A Half Men” co-star Angus T. Jones will be returning to the set of the comedy next week to film his first episode since he was videotaped urging people not to watch the show because it was “filth”.  Jones, whose character has been stuck Skype-ing from the Army for most of this season, will be returning to a story line that has him dating an older woman from South Dakota played by Jaime Pressly!

Guess what!  If you wanted to, you could get married at Downton Abby! The estate that serves as a backdrop for show is actually Highclere Castle located in Newbury, U.K., and is available to the public for weddings and other private events.  Weddings can accommodate up to 400 people and will set you back about $24,000.

Prince William and Kate Middleton, (the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge), are looking for a housekeeper for their home in Kensington Palace. Duties include:”Ensuring all areas of the residence are cleaned and maintained to a high standard at all times. Caring for and maintaining TRH [their royal highnesses] personal clothing, cleaning silverware and glassware and in-house laundry.” Interested parties must also be “ready to run errands, prepare basic meals when required and care for and exercise dogs.”

Justin Timberlake just announced he had some new music in the pipeline, and he’s already released his first song.  It’s called “Suit & Tie”, and it features some verses by Jay-Z.

You think YOUR alimony is high…the CEO of Maple Leaf Foods in Canada has been ordered to pay his ex-wife $175,000 a month in spousal support after an Ontario judge struck down parts of a pre-nup meant to keep the family’s wealth within the bloodline. Michael McCain must also make retroactive payments stretching back to July 2011, the first month of his split from his wife of 30 years, Christine McCain. Court documents show the elder McCain threatened to disown his children if their spouses did not sign away their rights to spousal support and some business assets in exchange for a cash payout and some properties including the matrimonial home. The couple married in 1981 and had five children.
