SPOILER ALERT: The second episode of “The Bachelor” aired last night. Sean gave the last rose to Amanda, and sent Brooke and Diana home. Brooke said she didn’t expect it to end that way, and Diana said she was sad not to have more time with Sean. Two girls got sent home last night but three girls WENT home. Katie Levans actually eliminated herself. She told Sean the show wasn’t right for her. And he walked her to the limo, and that was it.
While Kim Kardashian and baby daddy, Kanye West wish they could marry before the baby is born, that’s not going to be possible because Kim is still married to Kris Humphries and that divorce is dragging on and on. The couple want to go ahead with a commitment ceremony that will include rings that will not be worn on the wedding fingers. After the non-official ceremony, the two will honeymoon in Italy. Italy is where the two believe their baby was conceived.
Nicki Minaj will be on “Ellen” today. Yesterday the show posted a preview clip where Nicki talks about her feud with Mariah. And from her side at least, it looks like it’s all in the past. She explained that she overreacted to some rumors she heard about Mariah not wanting her to be a judge. And she said it’s Mariah Carey, and she can’t hold a grudge.
Word is that Britney Spears is not coming back to “The X Factor” because she wanted an addition $3 million dollars added onto her contract of $15 million per season on the show. Producers decided the price was just too high to pay and felt she wasn’t bringing enough to the table. Britney says she had a great time on the show, but watching the talent doing their thing on stage each week, made her realize she missed performing so much.
Charlie Sheen was a guest on “Letterman” last night, and he sounded pretty unhinged. He talked about his weird meltdown last year, and how he’s currently sober. He said his brain “separated into itself” during his meltdown . . . but no drugs were involved. Charlie also talked about how he’s going to be a grandfather. He said it’ll be a weird title to adopt, but it’ll be nice because he “can leave the kid.”
David Letterman talked about getting a cold versus getting the flu. He said he asked his doctor, who replied the difference is “about fifty bucks.”
Lindsay Lohan has apparently fired the lawyer that has more or less kept her out of jail several times. Shawn Holley was repping Lohan, but received a letter firing her and hiring a New York lawyer who was suspended from practicing for five years back in 1994. Lilo says she knows nothing about the actions, but she signed the letter. Lohan is facing criminal prosecution in both California and New York. Holley was literally on her way to the courthouse when Heller sent his letter. She was trying to negotiate yet another sweet settlement for Lindsay in the lying-to-cops case.
Lance Armstrong has admitted to Oprah Winfrey that he did use performance-enhancing drugs during his pro cycling career to win the Tour de France. The interview reportedly went on for 2.5 hours and Lance fessed up to cheating. Before the interview. Armstrong apologized to the staff at Livestrong, saying he was sorry for letting down the organization. The way Lance worded his admission could have serious legal ramifications — considering he’s facing possible criminal prosecution and civil liability for allegedly lying in a number of legal proceedings.
Ryan Gosling could have been a member of the Backstreet Boys says A.J. McLean. The two men were friends and lived in the same apartment building when the band was just getting together. Gosling didn’t think the band was going to make it big because he felt they were a New Kids On The Block rip-off. After the band made it big, Gosling tried to get hold of AJ but he never returned the call. AJ says its because he never had Gosling’s phone number. AJ says he wants Ryan to join the group now because not only is he good looking, but he can actually sing.
Hulk Hogan is suing the Laser Spine Institute in Florida for $50 million dollars. The wrestler says the doctors there duped him into several bogus procedures that were not only worthless, but they damaged his career. Hogan says he turned to the institute in 2009 when he was seeking treatment for scoliosis and several bulging discs. Hogan claims the procedures actually made him feel worse in the long run. He blames the institute for not advising him that the laser treatment is only a temporary solution, not a permanent one. Hulk had to go to other surgeons who actually fixed his back. Hogan says he wants LSI to pay for screwing him up and for causing him to miss out on employment opportunities in the entertainment world that would have netted him tens of millions of dollars. Hulk also says LSI used his name and image to promote their business without his permission. The institute says they do not comment on ongoing legal issues.
Gymnast Shannon Miller is pregnant. This is Miller’s second child, though the first since she was diagnosed with germ cell ovarian cancer in 2011. Miller decided to get the baseball-sized malignant tumor and one of her ovaries removed after her diagnosis, and got a clean bill of health on September 2011. She and husband John Falconetti have revealed they are expecting a newborn in summer 2013.
People have been wondering about the whereabouts of labor union leader, Jimmy Hoffa, since he disappeared in 1975. While many stories have circulated that Hoffa is encased in cement in any number of public buildings, Tony Zerilli, an alleged former high-ranking member of Detroit’s La Cosa Nostra mafia, claims he knows where Hoffa is buried and does not want to take the information to the grave with him. Zerilli says “What happened to Hoffa was very simple. He got picked up over there and buried.” Zerilli believes Hoffa was buried in northern Oakland County, Michigan, in a vacant lot. The FBI believe that Zerilli is a credible source and his tip is worth following up on.
