Beyoncé performed the halftime show last night, and she definitely redeemed herself after the inauguration controversy.  Her performance was solid, and it sounded like she was singing live.  Midway through the performance, there was indeed a Destiny’s Child reunion.

Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network has been sued by a former employee who claims she is the victim of sex and pregnancy discrimination. In a lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Carolyn Hommel claims she was hired in 2010 as senior director of scheduling and acquisitions at the network. But despite receiving a favorable performance review and being told she was on-track to become a vice president, she was replaced by a temporary employee when she was forced to take a medical leave during her pregnancy. Hommel says her duties were gradually taken away from her and given to the temporary employee, and she was later excluded from numerous meetings when she returned to the office. On March 19, 2012, a month after giving birth to her daughter, Hommel was told she was being laid off, the complaint alleges. She was encouraged to re-apply for the vice president job, but she was passed over. Hommel claims her demotion and layoff are a direct result of her becoming pregnant and requiring a medical leave.  OWN has not responded to the suit as yet.

Lindsay Lohan is telling friends she was clueless until a few days ago that she owed Shawn Holley a small fortune in attorney’s fees, but we’re told now that she knows she’s putting Shawn at the top of her creditor’s list. It’s hard to swallow … that Lindsay didn’t know how much she owed Shawn.  We’ve been reporting for weeks it’s in the 6 figures.  Sources quite familiar with the situation tell TMZ, Lindsay owes Shawn $150,000.  It’s interesting although Lindsay fired Shawn our sources tell us she’s been making a full-court press for more than a week to get her back, but Shawn isn’t having it.  We’re told Lindsay has instructed her business manager to pay the tab ASAP.  Lindsay is making money from appearances, endorsements and some acting gigs, but she’s been spending like an insane woman — first class plane tickets, expensive hotels, restaurants, clothes, etc.  Lindsay says she’ll cut back so Shawn gets paid.  One thing that won’t go away Lindsay still owes $130,000 in back taxes and now she has a new lawyer — one she doesn’t even want — who will undoubtedly be racking up his own bill.

Amanda Bynes loves her some cannabis.  But does she love it too much?  TMZ says Amanda is looking for a new place to live because pot-smoking is frowned upon in her current apartment building.  Amanda’s landlord actually sent her a letter saying her lease is being terminated . . . because they’ve been getting complaints of happy smoke coming from her apartment “morning, noon and night.”  She’s also been seen toking in the hallways.  Amanda had a moving van out in front of the building on Friday.
