A judge came down hard on Dennis Rodman on Tuesday. An Orange County judge held the former basketball star in contempt for getting behind almost a million dollars in unpaid child support for his 9- and 10-year-old children and an additional $51,441 in unpaid spousal support. Rodman was placed on 3 years probation and ordered to perform 104 hours of community service. While on probation, Rodman is required to stay current with child support and cover alimony.  Dennis has argued saying he couldn’t pay because he’s broke. According to Dennis, Michelle’s [his ex-wife] six-figure child support bill is based on a $50,000-a-month child support order she obtained behind his back. Rodman’s been fighting it since 2010. The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” began last night and Maria Menounos told her dance partner Derek Hough that she’s not used to doing girly things, like dancing. She said she’s basically a guy . . . but with breasts.

Jimmy Kimmel talked about last night’s premiere of “Dancing with the Stars.”  He joked that one day, one of the “stars” on the show could turn out to be an actual star.

Kathleen Madigan stops by LAF

We were lucky enough to have Kathleen Madigan stop by and entertain us and our Live Audience Friday!

Kathleen Madigan is often regarded as the Funniest Female Comic in America!  Her Showtime special, “Gone Madigan” is in constant rotation with its DVD-CD topping Amazon and i-Tunes charts.  She recently returned from her 2nd tour performing for the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.  She has performed on just about every late night talk show and has recorded an hour-long HBO special and both an hour and a half-hour special on Comedy Central.

She won the American Comedy Award for Best Female Comedian and remains the only unchallenged comedian in the history of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” on which she reached the finals in Season 2 and was a Talent Scout on Season 5.

She is at Comedy Works Landmark Village tonight and Saturday night, early shows are sold out but purchase tickets for the 9:45pm shows by calling 720-274-6800 or online at www.comedyworks.com.

Bob Marley is a goofy comedian on the rise. His big comedy debut was on Comedy Central Presents but he is also known from his many TV and film appearances. He appeared in both Boondock Saints and Boondock Saints 2.

Since, he performed stand up and appeared on shows like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. He has also appeared on numerous radio shows such as Sirius Satellite Radio’s 103 Blue Collar radio, 104 RawDog Comedy and each week on Coast 93.1 with a segment called The World According to Bob.

Marley holds the Guinness Book of World Records record for Longest Continuous Stand-Up Routine by performing over 40 hours straight! Variety magazine named him one of the “Top 10 Comics to Look Out For.”

Crock Pot HOBO Stew!

1 lb. ground beef
2 cans Campbell’s vegetarian vegetable soup
Salt and pepper
1 - 2 tbsp. instant minced onion

Brown ground beef. Drain well. Add to other ingredients in pot. Add a cup of water. Cook on High 2 to 3 hrs.

Cooked macaroni may be added to stretch this dish.

Coconut Crock Pot Yams

Ingredients

 
2 pounds Yams or Sweet Potatoes
¼ tsp coconut essence or extract
¼ tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup butter (melted)
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup shredded coconut
¼ cup pecans
2 tbls cold butter

Spray your crock with cooking oil or coat with butter to prevent sticking.
Slice the Yams into ½ inch thick slices.

Arrange the Yam slices in the crock, overlapping the slices. You will probably need a couple of layers.

Mix the coconut essence and vanilla with melted butter and pour over the yams.
In a small bowl mix together the brown sugar, coconut and pecans - sprinkle over the yams

Cut the cold butter into little pieces sprinkle over Yams
Cook on low for about 6 hours - Should be soft when done

Crock-Pot Breakfast Cobbler

4 medium – sized apples, peeled and sliced

1/4 Cup honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoon of butter melted
2 Cups granola cereal
Spray inside of Crock-Pot with nonstick spray. Place apples in slow cooker and mix in remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low 7-9 hours, or overnight!  Enjoy Your Breakfast!

Crock Pot Pineapple Chicken

4-6 boneless chicken breasts
1 (20 oz) can pineapple chunks with juice.
1 small green bell pepper diced into strips
1/2 cup packed brown sugar

In slow cooker, place chicken. In medium bowl combine remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour mixture over chicken. Cover. Cook 6-8 hours on low heat

Serve over a bed of rice
